Remember this one from 1968??? Why, sure you do... who doesn't??? The Foundations were a great R&B Pop group. The title song of this album was by far their most famous tune, followed closely by "Baby, Now That I've Found You". The Foundations were a British group who did quite a few albums, although they had only five songs which charted on Billboard's Top 100. They were to set a trend with their bluesy-pop tunes embellished with brass instruments. A sign of things to come... The cover of this LP is one of my all-time personal favorites.

The 60's and early 70's had a wealth of "feel good" music. Carefree and jubilant. No matter what type of an ugly mood you're in, if you hear one of these songs everything will seem to brighten. That's something that's missing in today's pop scene. Even though this time period was fraught with dissent, it was the most "without a care" period of time. Kids were kids, and fun was fun. So fire up that Lava lamp, turn on your black light, burn a little incense and string a few beads.
